I am releasing a collection of graphical assets for abstract strategy board games. The assets are available at sashite.dev/assets/ and released into the public domain under CC0 1.0 Universal.

The collection currently covers three games: Western Chess, Ōgi (from the shōgi tradition), and Xiongqi (from the xiangqi tradition). Each game includes individual SVG files for every piece type and side, along with a matching board.

Format and usage

All assets are provided in SVG format. Vector graphics scale to any resolution without loss of quality, and colors can be adjusted through CSS without editing the source files. For convenience, each asset is also available as pre-rendered PNG files in multiple sizes.

The CC0 license means there are no restrictions on use. The assets can be incorporated into any project—personal, educational, or commercial—without attribution requirements. Attribution remains appreciated but is not required.
